How to use your BKC Pizza Stone

1. Place the serving rack and BKC pizza stone into the oven.
2. Always start with a cold oven. Never put a cold pizza stone into a hot oven as it can crack due to thermal shock. Rapid temperature shifts can damage your pizza stone. Ensure a frozen pizza is fully defrosted before placing it onto the pizza stone. 
3. Allow the pizza stone to heat up alongside the oven as per baking instructions. Using the pizza peel transfer your food item onto the pre-heated pizza stone – Always use oven gloves when using a hot oven or handling a hot pizza stone set.​

How to care for your BKC Pizza Stone

1. Only when the BKC Pizza Stone is cool enough to handle use a spatula to remove any food that is stuck to the stone’s surface. 
2. You can clean the BKC Pizza Stone using a damp cloth or sponge, wiping away grime. Never use soap otherwise your food will taste soapy the next time you use it. 
3. If your BKC Pizza Stone absorbs too much water it can crack the next time you heat it in the oven. Ensure it is completely dry before using it again. 
4. Don’t worry about your BKC Pizza Stone getting stained. Stains are normal and a sign of experience.

Pizza Dough

The Perfect Pizza Dough

What you need:

  • ½ Tablespoon of yeast 
  • ½ Tablespoon of salt
  • 2 ½ Cups of flour 
  • 1 Cup of warm water

 

What you need to do:
1. Mix warm water in to the yeast and let it rest for 4-5 minutes until the yeast proofs. 
2. Add the flour into the proofed yeast mixing it well. (if required you can use a dough hook. Add the salt and knead until silky and smooth. 
3. Cover the bowl with saran wrap or cling film and let it rest for 20 minutes. 
4. Remove the dough from the bowl and add a little flour to eliminate any stickiness if required. 
5. Job done! You have your perfect Pizza Dough. 
6. Roll it, add the toppings you love and cook your perfect pizza on the BKC pizza stone!

Pizza Sauce

The Perfect Pizza Sauce

What you need:

 

  • 3 ounces of diced tomatoes 
  • 1 gloves of garlic – chopped fine 
  • 1 tablespoons of olive oil 
  • ½ Teaspoon of salt 
  • ½ Teaspoon sugar 
  • ½ Teaspoon balsamic vinegar 
  • Ground black Pepper

 

What you need to do – its as easy as this:
1. Find a food processor or blender. Add in all the ingredients Turn on and fire up! 
2. Wait until completely purified
3. Add to your Perfect Pizza Dough with all your favourite toppings. 
4. Cook on the BKC Pizza Stone. Enjoy! ​

 

The 4 Cheese Pizza

What you need!

  • Your perfect Pizza Dough*
  • Your perfect Pizza Sauce*
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon Oregano
  • ¼Cup Mozzarella, shredded
  • ¼ Cup Parmesan, shredded
  • ¼ Cup Brie, shredded
  • ¼ Cup Ricotta, shredded
  • Black Pepper

     What you need to do!

  • Pre-heat oven to 425f
  • Shape dough into desired size on a work surface
  • Spoon the pizza sauce over the dough as desired
  • Sprinkle on Garlic to taste
  • Top with Mozzarella, Parmesan, Brie and Ricotta
  • Sprinkle Oregano to taste
  • Sprinkle remaining Mozzarella and black pepper to taste
  • Bake for 15- 20 minutes on your BKC Pizza Stone and enjoy a crispy, meaty and delicious pizza!

Veggie Pizza

The Veggie Delight

What you need: 

  • Your perfect Pizza Dough* 
  • Your perfect Pizza Sauce* 
  • ½ Cup sliced mushrooms 
  • ½ Cup sliced onions 
  • 1 ½ cups sliced mixed peppers 
  • ½ Cup Sweetcorn 
  • Some chopped cherry tomatoes 
  • ½ Cup sliced olives 
  • 1 Garlic clove. Chopped 
  • Small amount of fresh basil  
  • Any spice flakes of your choice 
  • 1 ½ Cup of mozzarella cheese 


What you need to do: 
1. Pre-heat oven to 425f 
2. Shape dough in to desired size on a work surface 
3. Spoon the pizza sauce over the dough as desired 
4. Add a little mozzarella cheese 
5. Add on all your vegetable toppings 
6. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese  
7. Bake for 20 minutes on your BKC Pizza Stone and enjoy a crispy, scrumptious stone bakes veggie pizza.

Vegan Pizza

The Royal Vegan

What you need: 

  • Your perfect Pizza Dough* 
  • Your perfect Pizza Sauce* 
  • ½ Cup slices mushrooms 
  • ½ Cup slices red onions 
  • ½ Cup sliced olives 
  • 1 Garlic clove. Chopped 
  • Small amount of fresh basil  
  • Any spice flakes of your choice 
  • Vegan Parmesan 
  • Any other homemade vegan cheese 
  • 1 Tablespoon of olive oil 
  • Any other slices vegetables  


What you need to do:
1. Pre-heat oven to 425f 
2. Shape dough in to desired size on a work surface 
3. Spoon the pizza sauce over the dough as desired 
4. Add a little vegan Parmesan Cheese or other cheese 
5. Add on all your vegetable toppings 
6. Sprinkle remaining vegan cheese  
7. Bake for 20 minutes on your BKC Pizza Stone and enjoy a crispy, delicious vegan pizza!  

Focaccia

The Classic Focaccia

What you need:

 

  • 250g Plain Flour 
  • 75ml warm water 
  • 7g of dry active baking yeast 
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil 
  • ¼ Tablespoon salt 
  • 1 Teaspoon caster sugar

 

What you need to do:
1. Take a small bowl, dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy for about 10 minutes. 
2. Take a large bowl, combine the yeast mixture with the flour. Keep stirring until combined. Continue to add a small amount of water each time until all the flour is absorbed. 
3. When dough has pulled together, place on a lightly floured surface and knead for a couple of minutes. 
4. Place dough in an oiled bowl and turn to coat with oil. Cover with damp cloth and let rise in in a warm place for 30 mins (or until doubled in size). 
5. Pre-heat oven to 240 degrees C.
6. Deflate dough and roll out on lightly floured surface and knead Roll dough to desired size, brush with oil and sprinkle with salt. 
7. That’s it!… place on BKC Pizza Stone, bake for 15 minutes and enjoy your classic Focaccia.​
